These papers contain letters and correspondence to Jackson (and one letter to Mrs. James Jackson) from friends and professional associates concerning the British at Pensacola, Florida, during the War of 1812, and personal matters. The correspondents include Andrew Jackson, C. S. Todd, and A. D. Chesterman to Mrs. Jackson describing the battle of Fredericksburg. In addition, there is an account for James Jackson's meals and brandy as owed to Peter Blow.
